Meet Hannah Chu

Hannah is a warm, fun-loving and empathetic psychologist, who values capacity building for young people, and for the family and educational settings that support them. She has over 15 years of experience working with pre-schoolers, primary aged children, adolescents and parents, across various settings, beginning with music education, and school counselling context with the NSW Department of Education and Training, and then as a registered psychologist in schools and private practice settings, in regional and metropolitan Melbourne. Her areas of interests include providing supports for: 

  • Learning difficulties

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Neurodivergence (e.g. ADHD and ASD)

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

  • Parenting supports

  • Cognitive/educational, emotional-behavioural and neurodevelopmental assessments

 

Hannah works collaboratively with clients and their families to understand their challenges, and making plans of support that draw from a variety of therapeutic tools ranging from Cognitive behavioural therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, play-based approaches and approaches drawn from Circle of Security and Emotions Coaching. Hannah is also a committed Christian, so she able to support young people and families who would like to see a psychologist who shares their biblical worldview.
