Registered Psychologist MAPS
(Educational and Developmental Psychology Registrar)

Meet Hannah Chu

Hannah is a warm, fun-loving and empathetic psychologist, who values capacity building for young people, and for the family and educational settings that support them. She has over 15 years of experience working with pre-schoolers, primary aged children, adolescents and parents, across various settings, beginning with music education, and school counselling context with the NSW Department of Education and Training, and then as a registered psychologist in Victorian schools and private practice settings. Her areas of interests include providing supports for neurodiverse clients, learning difficulties, as well as anxiety management, emotional regulation difficulties, social skills training and parenting supports.

Hannah enjoys using a play-based approach where appropriate. She also has experience with conducting a range of psychological assessments, including social-emotional, cognitive, educational, behavioural and neurodevelopmental assessments.

She also understands that seeing a psychologist can be a very personal undertaking, and respects how much values can play a part in supporting one’s psychological wellbeing. If values (whether personal, faith-based, political, cultural) are important to you, she welcomes you to bring these up in the intake to help you evaluate if her service would be the right fit for you and your family.
